A Guided Improvisational Dance Practice for Presence, Pleasure, and Physical Intelligence
What this class is about?
Dans Movement is a guided dance practice that invites you to reconnect with your body as a living, intelligent source of sensation, imagination, and vitality. Rather than learning steps, the class focuses on how it feels to move, offering time and space to be fully present, physically engaged, and supported as you explore movement in your own way.
Dans Movement Class

Continuous movement in silence and open eyes
The practice unfolds without stopping and without speaking, unless instructed, creating deep focus, physical endurance, and a direct relationship with sensations and time.
Layering information to awaken sensitivity
03

Daniel introduces layered instructions and physical suggestions that build complexity, sharpen awareness, and activate both body and brain as one intelligent system.

01
Entering the body through listening
We begin by slowing perception down — listening to sensation, weight, breath, and flesh before telling the body what to do, allowing awareness to lead movement.
02

04
Strengthening the engines through effort and play
Through tasks and small movement games, we work with power, speed, explosiveness, and endurance — finding lightness, humor, groove, and pleasure even during effort.

The practice holds space for emotional states to move through the body, creating a sense of freedom, safety, and connection beyond technique — a dialogue between physical, mental, and inner worlds.
07
Physical, mental, and emotional benefits

The class builds joint mobility, muscular endurance, coordination, speed, and efficient use of energy, while training focus, emotional regulation, and the ability to stay present under physical demand, making movement more sustainable in both dance and daily life.

05
Moving beyond habit and athletic obedience
Participants are guided to recognize habitual patterns, let go of unnecessary effort, and discover efficient, animal-like movement that supports longevity, wellness, and resilience.
06

Integration, safety, and emotional presence

Who this class is for?
The class is open to dancers, performers, athletes, and anyone who wants to move, listen to their body, and develop awareness, strength, and freedom; no prior dance experience is required, and each participant moves according to their own abilities and needs.

This class is not only about achieving a shape or mastering steps. It is about sensing where you are in space, how your body relates to gravity, distance, and imagination — and how movement can heal, strengthen, and reconnect us to pleasure, effort, and presence.
